New York City-born Puerto Rican Latin superstar Marc Anthony, is one of the best representations of modern Latin music by shaping the future of salsa with the accomplishments he’s made throughout his career. 

The two-time Grammy and seven-time Latin Grammy-winner will bring his new tour “Opus” to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana and we couldn’t be more excited about this! That’s why we want to give you a few important facts about Marc Anthony:

  1. Both his parents are from Yauco, a city located in southwestern Puerto Rico.

2. Marc worked as a producer, songwriter and backing vocalist for the puerto rican boy band “Menudo”, where Ricky Martin started his musical career. 

3. He has sold over 12 million albums worldwide. His most recent top hits are “Vivir Mi Vida” and “Flor Pálida”, both these songs have more than over 680 million views and 270 million YouTube views respectively.

4. Marc was married to Jennifer Lopez for 8 years. Lopez gave birth to their twins Emme and Maximilian in 2008. Unfortunately, the couple decided to split in 2012. 

5. The singer has released 12 studio albums, 15 music videos and 49 singles. His latest album, Opus, was released this year and will be promoted with presentations in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
